Books

I love to read.  When I was growing up I would drag blankets outside to read up in our big walnut tree or crawl up on the trampoline and read for hours on end.  As I have gotten older things haven't changed much.  I love to still drag blankets outside and read for hours on end.  I always seem to have a book on me at work or when I go on vacation.

I also love the hold real books in your  hand.  You know the turn the page, real books, not the electronic ebooks that seem to be all the rage.  When I think of my dream home it has a breathtaking library full of books with places to read everywhere you look.  When I was first out of high school I bought my first book case.   At first it help more pictures and some of my other favorite things more than books. Through the years I have slowly filled it with more and more books.  It has moved with me more times that I can remember.

The last year or so it started to get to then point of being too full.  Even after I bought a smaller one for my office I was quickly running out of room.

This summer the book case I have been keeping an eye on went on sale and I decided now was the time to upgrade.  I love it!!

It fills up my reading room perfectly and makes me smile every time I walk in there.  When people come over I have to show it off.

The only downside was I no longer had space for my old book case.   And while it was just a book case it was hard to say good-bye to it.  It held a lot of memories for me for me and was one of the first really pieces of furniture I ever owned.  

Now time to go and buy more books!!!
