Month 11

Month 11 was a roller-coaster of a month again with events in my life and emotions.  Through it all I am growing and learning.  When I started this weight loss journey I had no idea how much my life would change.  Some of it is because of the weight loss, some of it is just life.  Overall though I am excited and really starting to like the person I am becoming.

Weight loss I did better than last month and lost 6.9 lbs for a total of 128.6 loss so far.  This puts me at 19 lbs left to lose to hit my goal weight.  That number seems so close!  I am feeling it will be January or February now when I hit that goal which is exciting and still mind blowing to me.  Health wise I am feeling really good with no complaints.  The biggest thing I have noticed this month is I get cold easy now!  It is taking some getting use to as before I was ALWAYS hot.  I am almost to the point of going out and buying some long johns to wear to work.  I am also getting into the habit of wearing a jacket which is something I didn’t have to do before.  Once I get cold it seems like it takes a lot for me to warm up.  This winter could be fun!

Running wise, well it didn’t happen this month.  I did just sign up for my first half next year on June 2 so it is time to get my butt in gear and start training.  I am excited and scared to run a half marathon but think it will be really good motivation for me.

As for October there were some big changes.  The first was a sold my car and downgraded to a Corella to help pay some things off.  I worked with my brother Greg and he found me one I really liked.  So far it has been really good and I have been happy with it.

The other big change was at the end of the month I moved out of my friends place and into my own place.  It is a cute little townhouse in Meridian and the biggest thing is I can have Molly with me.  A couple of my officer friends helped to me the last Saturday of the month which was amazing of them!  We only had one bump in the road, we couldn’t get my queen bed up the stairs.  No matter how hard we tried it just wouldn’t fit.  Thankfully I still had my full size bed that use to be in my guest room and we were able to switch the beds out.  Once everything was moved in and I was home alone I had a complete breakdown and felt overwhelmed.  While the big objects were all in the correct rooms nothing was really anywhere and it felt like too much to do myself.  In that moment I felt very very alone, overwhelmed, panicked, and down.  The weight of it all came crashing down on me hard and I just sat down and cried.  After a couple minutes, I decided I could sit there and cry or get up and do something about it.

So I got up and worked my butt off.  By Monday my house was unpacked and everything was put away.  The only thing I had left was the entertainment center which was a two person job.  I have to say I was really proud of the work I did.  My house is starting to feel like home now and Molly seems to be happy as well.

Fall time is always picture time and this year was no different.  My West family helped me out and took some pictures of Molly and me.   I LOVE how they turned out.

I was also able to get some pictures of me and the girls together, they turned out too cute!

In return I took some family pictures for them.

My mom also wanted family pictures so my friend Amy took them for us.

She also took a couple of just me and it is one of the first times that I have looked at a picture of myself and really thought I looked beautiful.

Molly was able to come to work with my one day due to her grooming apt running late.  She loved every second of it.  The first half I taught CPR to dispatch.

The second half I dispatched.  Most of the time she just laid at my feet.  Every now and then she would get up and walk around to get loves from everyone.  If I could take her to work every day I would!

The rest of October was work, being outside, relaxing when I could, and trying to not stress too much about moving.

I was able to go with West and his mom to her place in Idaho City twice and both times loved every second of it!  The first time we unloaded hay then sat outside all night talking, eating, and laughing.  It was SOOO what I needed.

The next time Jutta had surgery so I went up to help her out.  For the most part we relaxed and I loved getting to know her better.  We ended up staying up late into the night just talking.

One month to go before I hit my year mark!!!
