Month 4!

Today marks 4 full months since my surgery.   I am down to 212.1 lbs which is 11.2 lbs lost this month for a total of 69.9 lbs lost all together!  Here are my side by side pictures from end of month 1 and end of month 4.

This is amazing and something I could have never done on my own!  Don’t get me wrong, I am doing a lot of hard work and pushing hard to make sure I don't fail.  I go to the gym, work out with a trainer and I stick to eating what I am supposing to eat, no cheating.

The fact I have not cheating once is huge!!  And trust me I have wanted to cheat!  Having PMS or a crappy day at work I would kill for chocolate or a Dr Pepper!  But I am hanging tough, I might get grumpy, but I am hanging in there!  I am just about half way to my goal weight which is also amazing!  This month was crazy busy and the goals I set for myself were not meet.  I wanted to work out at the gym more but was lucky to get in my training sessions with my trainer.  I wanted to start walking with Thor, only happened once.  I was going to start tracking my food again so I knew exactly where I was at and where I needed to improve, that last all of two days.  I am hoping to kick it up in April and want to meet my goals this time.  It kind of has me worried that this last month, while I lost something every week, it is my lowest lost yet.  I feel I can't complain because 11 is a great number, but it really scares me that I am going to stop loosing.  I know I am on a good path but all I know is failing at losing this dang weight and so that I right where my mind jumps.  I also just see myself in the worst light.  I see every fat roll, my gut, and everything else that us girls seem to see wrong with out self.  It is frustrating.  So time to get out of my head and learn to enjoy the ride while letting myself be happy with how far I have come.

Goals for this next month:
- Track my dang food!
- Start couch to 5K program
- Sign up for a 5K
- get to the gym 3 times a week
- meal plan better

Bring it!!

Thor is 2!

On March 24th Thor turned 2!  As per tradition I had to take his picture by one of my favorite Troopers.  This year Trooper Crapo helped out.  She has become an amazing friend and I love that I got this picture with her.  March as been a rainy month so luck was not on our side with the weather but we managed to get a great picture and I absolutely love it!

Thor is turning into an amazing dog and I have really noticed him changing the last few months.  It will be fun to see what this year brings.  He is very protective which is one reason I wanted a German Shepard but at the same time comes with a few challenges.  I hope to start running with him which will help to burn of some much needed energy.  I also hope to get him back to dog training just to make him a well rounded dog.  I love Thor like crazy and I am thankful he is a part of my life.  Happy birthday Thor!

March

March has been a crazy fast and busy mouth.  I feel like I am always doing something and sometimes just wish I had a day just to relax.  It has been a great month though so I won’t complain too much, the best part is spring is finally here!!  Here is a quick recap of the month.  My new favorite Disney cartoon came out on DVD so I had to buy it.  Just love Moana!  Makes me want to go to Hawaii again so bad!!

Spring is finally in the air and flowers are popping out of the ground.  We have had a lot of spring rain showers which is also make the grass turn green, loving all the color!

I caught up with some of my paramedic friends which always make me happy.  The best has been seeing Linda a few good times.  She has been a really good friend through the years and is someone who will always give it to me straight which I really like.

I also got in more time with the baby goats, they just melt my heart!  My favorite has become this little guy, I almost want to just steal him!

With the amazing weather I have been spending more time outside with the dogs and even finally managed to get them out on a walk.  Both the dogs have just been in heaven and if Thor had his way we would be outside playing all day.  Only down part with spring is there is dog hair everywhere!!

I also taught CPR and first-aid to ISP’s ATC class #45.  Because it is such a big class we had to split the class in two and teach it two full days instead of just the one.  It is my favorite group to teach because we do so much more with them.  I also love teaching with Trooper Crapo and she is becoming a great friend.

With spring in the air I figured it was time to cut the hair and lighten it up some.  It turned out really cute!

On March 11th my best friend had her 4th child and named her Sadie Ann.  She is a rainbow baby which makes my heart happy.  I am so happy for Jen and her family and was finally able to meet Sadie a week later.  I just love her like crazy!

For St Patrick’s Day I went and saw Beauty and the Beast with my good friend Amy.  Oh my gosh I LOVED it!!   It made me laugh and cry and just smile.   They really stuck to the cartoon that I grew up with but they also added things that just completed the story more.  It was also fun to catch up with Amy and we walked around the village and just enjoyed the sun for a little bit after the movie.

The next day I went and saw Beauty and the Beast again with my sister and her friend.  It was just as good the second time and is on my favorite list!

I had my traditional spring/summer Scentsy party and loved catching up with everyone who came.  I made sure to have treats for everyone to eat and since I can’t really have sugar right now I had some fruit as well.  It also made me excited to know this is my last one without my mom!

I worked what feels like nonstop at work due to the crazy OT we still have.  I hope one day we will have enough people in dispatch that we can truly have 3 day weekends because this OT is horrible!  But I do have fun working with my Troopers and I love how they are really good about feeling me in on crazy calls they respond too.

This is a pictures Trooper Crapo sent me of a scene call in which they had to call an air ambulance.  The picture is just sweet!  It has two things I am passionate about in it, my Troopers and EMS.

Oh Baby!

This last late spring/early summer my sister and her family decided to move out to the country.  They moved into an old farm time house on land (with hopes to build soon) and ended up buying two goats, some sheep ( I have lost count because for awhile there they were coming and going), a puppy, and a barn cat (which is one of the few cats I like).  This past fall they bread the sheep and goats with hopes of having babies in the spring.   It has been fun to watch the excitement as their due dates get closer and bellies get bigger.   On March 3rd her first goat got has triples!

All the kids and my brother were able to watch the birth and from everything I hear they came really fast.  Steph was really good at sending my text messages with updates and pictures.  I loved it! The next day before work I had to head down to see these cute little ones!  The biggest white one is the boy; the other two are little girls with the smallest little grey one being the one who loves to snuggle.
(this little boy doesn't hold still for long)

It was my first time that I can recall hold a baby goat, it was like heaven!

(this little girl loves to cuddle)

(sisters with sisters)

While I was there the second goat was in labor but at luck would have it I had to go to work (that is all I seem to do with all our mandatory OT right now) so I couldn’t stay.  The second goat had a little bit of a hard time but in the end had triples as well!

It is impressive they both had triples, both had a boy and two girls, all were born alive, and they didn’t get tangled and stuck trying to come out.  Did I mention they are both first time moms too, crazy!  Sunday after church Doug and I headed over and I was able to hold and meet the newest additions, I could have sat out there for hours!

(I had to hold this little girl again and she feel asleep in my lap)

This week her first sheep had twins, both rams.  Today before work Doug and I ran down to for some more goat time and to see the little lambs.  The sheep were really cute and fun to watch but the goats still have my heart.

Steph let me bottle feed them even though only one of them really seemed to want to eat.

After we went and stood outside in the sun.  It was such a beautiful day to be outside!!!  The little boy I was holding seemed to be in heaven relaxing in the sun.  I just want to cuddle him all afternoon, he was just too sweet.

He may be my favorite right now (even though the little grey girl is a very close second).

It is fun to see them growing and playing more.  They jump around and climb on what they can.  Just too cute!  Can’t wait for the next time I get to see them!
