Month 6 and 7!

The last few months have been crazy and stressful and I never got around to writing my month 6 blog so this blog will have to be month 6 and 7!  The biggest news with my weight loss is I have hit my 100 lbs lost mark!!  I am now coming in right at 180 lbs which is crazy to me!  I still have around 35-45 lbs to go to be around the weight I want but it for the first time in a LONG time that goal feels possible!  I had my 6 month follow up with my doctor and was told I am running around 3 months ahead of schedule and to slow my weight loss down a little.  That hasn’t been a problem as my weight loss in the last 2 months has slowed WAY down.  Month 6 I lost 7.7 lbs and month 7 I have lost 8.4 lbs.  Here are my side my side pictures.  The first is month 7 next to month 5 and the second set is month 7 next to month 1.

I am allowed to eat most things now as long as I am getting in enough protein in.  I still eat healthy because it doesn’t take much to fill me up and I would rather be full on good food then junk.  Plus I really really want to hit my goal weight and be healthy!

For my birthday I did enjoy cake and it was amazing!!!

I have also added bread back in which includes pizza as long as it isn’t really heavy and greasy.  I have sacrificed too much to let myself down now.

I am loving how my clothes are starting to fit and liking the changes I am feeling such as having a waist again.  It is fun to buy new cloths but I have to be careful to not go overboard and spend too much because I am still losing and will have to change sizes later down the road.   I still look at my gut and hate how big it looks to me and I am not a big fan of my upper arms.  I would also be ok if my chest went down a little more.  While my pants have gone from a size 20 (to be honest I really should have been a size bigger because all my pants were WAY too tight!) to a size 12 by bra size has only gone down 2 sizes.  I am still working out with a trainer and it is fun to see muscles starting to appear again.  I still haven’t started to run but still plan too.   I was excited to go and buy a life vest that fits and looks cute, now I need to get out on the river!!

The best part of all this is I am starting to do the things I love doing such as hiking and horse riding.  I have always loved being outdoors and exploring new areas but my weight really held me back.  For the first time I hike Table Rock here in Boise this last month and it felt amazing!  I am still not in the best shape but I was able to do it and by the end of it still felt really good.

This last weekend I did a day road trip to McCall and hiked with a friend around Ponderosa Park.  We hike 4.8 miles around the park and it was just beautiful!  I can’t wait to plan my next hike!

I have also started to go horse riding every Monday with a friend who working with me on improving my riding by helping me rebuild my riding muscles and confidence on a horse.  I call it my weekly horse therapy because it really has done wonders with my stress.  I love every min of it!  I also bought a riding helmet which is a first for me but I found one that is really cute and still looks western.  After my ride I always sneak in a little baby time with their cute little filly.  It is heaven!

As for the last two months life has taken a lot of twist and turns and been hard and stressful at times.   But I have also had a lot of good times with people I love.

My birthday was nice and low key and spent at the West home which was perfect.

I have also LOVED spending time with the West girl and just love them like crazy.

I went to the Phantom of the Opera with my BFF and it was AMAZING!!

I took pictures for my officers at events and have gotten closer to them as they have really rallied behind me.

Over all, even though I have a lot going on in my life I feel very blessed to have the people in my life that I do.  I am also amazing at how well I am doing on this weight loss journey and I am excited to see where it takes me!
